Welcome
The first Junior Medical Club premiered in Hudson, Ohio in 2008 and was founded as a way to mentor and enrich boys and girls with an interest in a future career as a healthcare professional.
Meetings take place twice a month at a local facility and are monitored by a volunteer or parent. Most meetings include a presentation followed by a guest speaker or group activity. Optional field trips have been planned throughout the year to nearby medical and research facilities.
The content of the class includes the study of human anatomy and physiology in detail. The club is for high achieving motivated learners with a passion for this subject. This is not a class on basic healthcare and most students inspire to become medical professionals and want to meet others with the same interests.
